“The Vanishing Game”

Role

Genres

In true story telling fashion, the “Vanishing Game” project presented a fully controllable narrative to the audience in an elegantly animated scrolling presentation.

The audience was provided granular controls allowing them to toggle features such as narration, copy, imagery, and sharable moments; enriching the individual’s experience.

Headlights in the Mirror chapter

This episodic tale featured 90 minutes of live action footage (shot by our team) composed of photography and graphic elements to illuminate the story.

JavaScript and CSS3 were employed for transitional behaviors and interactivity. At the core of this experience the team used React JavaScript library (with JSX support), as the choice view and user interface (UI) manipulation tool, taking advantage of the virtual DOM for performance gains.

Gulp.js was used to build/compile the project source code which then was served from a LAMP stack that I installed and configured. To deliver the variety of assets in a timely fashion globally, I used Amazon Web Services (AWS) to create a CloudFront distribution which pointed to an origin S3 bucket.

To complete our pipeline, I created a bash script for continuous deployment via successful builds to the continuous integration (CI) server, upon a Git push.
