We helped reduce greenhouse gases and promote positive climate change in conjunction with The Climate Reality Project (founded by Al Gore) “World’s Easiest Decision” website.
To connect with visitors, we created a site that captured the audience by using an interactive quiz, animated characters, and environments.

Over 3.2 million people took action by signing a petition (located on the website) that was presented to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change twenty-first session of the Conference of the Parties (COP21) in Paris. The website (and supplemental petition) were designed to encourage world leaders to commit to serious reductions in emissions over the coming years.

We built a responsive, whimsical, and illustrative website using TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5. This long-scrolling website uses the parallax technique to establish foreground, middle ground, and background–creating depth in the environment, while using flat illustrations to do so.
The website was localized to 8 languages, offering a truly global experience.
I employed server-side caching techniques using Varnish Cache. Behind the Varnish HTTP cache I installed Apache web server. For deployment, I created a pipeline from our continuous integration (CI) server. All source code was deployed over an encrypted connection.
The Climate Reality Project “World’s Easiest Decision” was recognized by the community for excellence awarded the following accolades:
